One day trip @ Sydney, Australia
Continue from my previous blog, let’s start my year 090808 one day trip in Sydney, Australia!
Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, is Australia’s oldest and largest city with a population of around 4 million. Sydney is built around a huge harbour and hosts many tourist attractions as well as a number of beaches, bays and a couple of national parks.[Source from www.australianexplorer.com]
During my business trip, Jaynee and CY also came to Sydney, Australia. They met up with me a day before and stayed together with me . Then, tomorrow morning we will go to Paddy’s market together.
The next day, we wake up early and from Four Season Hotel, we walked to Circular Quay train station.
We reached Circular Quay station. We were going to Central Station.
Central Station
Central Railway Station (also known as Sydney Terminal) is the largest railway station in Sydney. It is located on the southern end of the Sydney CBD. It services almost all of the lines on the CityRail network, and is the major terminus for interurban and interstate rail services. Central Station houses the operations of New South Wales Railways. Central sits beside Railway Square and is officially located in Haymarket. Central is the station closest to the University of Technology Sydney at Broadway. [Source from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia]
Walked from Central Station to Sydney’s Paddy Markets. We passed by this garden.
Sydney’s Paddy Markets
The Haymarket Paddy’s is located in the ‘Market City’ site, beside Chinatown and is more like a traditional flea market, specialising in cheap imported clothes, giftware and also has a small section for fruit, vegetables and seafood. Paddy’s Haymarket also sells souvenirs which makes it popular with tourists. You can get alot cheap souvenirs, cloth, food in the markets. [Source from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia]
When I took photo at Darling Harbour, one guy suddenly jump out from behind. Then , we just cheers to camera ^^
After Paddy Markets, me and Jaynee say goodbye because I was going back to hotel check out and meet my buddy – Lynn . I passed by Chinatown. From there, I took bus back to Four Season Hotel.
So happy to see Lynn The first station she brought me to is The Rock.
Rock Markets
The rock
The Rocks are situated in Sydney’s city centre on the western side of Circular Quay, and was the area of the first European settlement in 1788. Before the 1820′s it was full of convicts and prostitutes, although this has changed from slums to three-story houses.[Source from www.circularquat.net]
Then, we walked to Circular Quay. Lynn n me

View of Sydney Opera House So beautiful !
The Sydney Opera House was completed in 1973 and was designed by Joern Utzon. The first public performance being Prokofiev’s ‘War and Peace’, and the acoustics are fabulous. From outside the Sydney Opera House looks remarkable and if you get up close you will be able to see several of the million or so ceramic tiles which cover the Sydney Opera House shells. [Source from www.australianexplorer.com]
View of Sydney Harbour Bridge
The Sydney Harbour Bridge was finished on Saturday 19th March 1932 and opened by Jack Lang, costing $20 million. All types of people use the bridge with access to cyclists on the West side and pedestrians on the East side, as well as vehicles.
The bridge is the largest steel arch bridge in the world being 134 metres high, 49 metres wide with a curve of 503 metres. The bridge has six million rivets in total, and weighs 52,800 tonnes. It stretches from Dawes Point on one side of the Sydney Harbour to Milsons Point on the other.[Source from www.australianexplorer.com]

Unable to catch the sunset view at Bondi beach, thus we stopped by here to see the sunset… But the sun went down so fast Miss it~
Reached Bondi.
Bondi Beach!
Nice?
Bondi Beach is about one kilometre long and receives many visitors throughout the year. Surf Life Saving Australia has given different hazard ratings to Bondi Beach in 2004. While the northern end has been rated a gentle 4 (with 10 as the most hazardous), the southern side is rated as a 7 due to a famous rip current known as the “Backpackers’ Express” because of its proximity to the bus stop, and the unwillingness of tourists to walk the length of the beach to safer swimming. The south end of the beach is generally reserved for surfboard riding. Yellow and red flags define safe swimming areas, and visitors are advised to swim between them. [source from http://en.wikipedia.org]
So cool here ^^ . For more information about Bondi beach, you can visit to http://www.bondibeach.com/
